Basketball News (added May 5)
Congratulations to Team Bell for a great tournament this past Saturday, including two great games against the two G.R. Saunders teams. The girls played hard and in game one lost a tough match in their first overtime game of the season. The team showed great spirit and demonstrated true sportsmanship. Way to go girls!
M.O.R.E. Run Success (added May 5)
Students rolled out of bed bright and early this past Thursday to participate in the M.O.R.E. Run. This dedicated group of staff and students ran throughout the day from town to town experiencing the support and encouragement that Pictou County has to offer. Way to go TMS!

Community Art Involvement (added May 4)
Students in the TMS Art Club collaborated to create a large scale piece that was showcased in New Glasgow's Art At Night. The piece is of a trojan, the school mascot, and was completed over the past few months during lunch time art club meetings. Students used a variety of materials to create their work, including water colour paint, oil pastels, coloured pencil, crayons, markers and more.

Grade 8 & 9 Quebec Trip (added May 1)
Students from both grades 8 and 9 will be travelling to Quebec via a bus with students from New Glasgow Jr. High. They will spend time site seeing and learning about francophone culture!
M.O.R.E Run (added April 29th)
The M.O.R.E Run will be held this year on May 1 and students from TMS will be taking place in the annual run. Those not running will be participating in the M.O.R.E. rally in the afternoon to show support for both student athletes and the fight against racism. Basketball News (added April 28th)
Congratulations to the grade 5 and 6 girls basketball team, Team MacDonald, for a great tournament at the annual Morgan Leil Tournament held at Frank H. MacDonald Elementary School April 26 and 27th. The girls lost their first game to A.G. Baillie in a close match, then defeating W.A. MacLeod and finally defeating Acadia/Temperance to finish 3rd overall. All the girls showed what it means to play Trojan Basketball! Congratulations to Brea MacNeil, Ashley MacDonald and Rebecca MacKay for earning players of the game.

Practices for the grades 7-9 track team have begun. Students should listen to the morning announcements to find out about practice dates and times.
TMS's School Play
TMS is putting on a play called Once Upon A Crime - The Trial of Goldilocks, it's set to run the first weekend in June!
Students Success In Basketball!
Congratulations to the seven TMS students who won the Mini Boys Basketball Provincial title over the weekend. Team members include Zach Baillies, Logan Taylor, Jared Fraser, Ben Turnbull, Nick MacInnis, Brady Campbell and Brandon Campbell. The boys teamed up with 3 Stellarton players to defeat Dartmouth 39-26 in the tournament final. Brandon Campbell was named to the All Star Team and Nick MacInnis was awarded Tournament MVP.
Kristen Crawley and Kassi Brightman played a great tournament this weekend with the Pictou Lightning. The girls gave a great effort, coming in second overall in the tournament in a nail biting final. Kassi was awarded MVP of the tournament, way to go girls!
Food Drive Champions!
Grade 5/6M raised 84 items in a food drive challenge. Between all grade 5 and 6 students 140 food items were rasied for the Pictou County Food Bank.
